a note from janelleI write to create my art but I am not an artist. I appreciate what an artist can do with whichever medium they work with. Since beginning my journey in publishing, I have always known I wanted to commission art to help bring my stories to life. I am fortunate to have artistic people around me and I will always give credit to their work.

Rebecca took my horrible stickman sketch and created something so beautiful for The Egyptian Heir cover. Due to some formatting issues, I was unable to use the entire illustration but it remains to be one of my favourite art commissions. My character profiles are the only AI images that I use. They will never be sold or used for anything other than giving readers an idea of what I'm imagining. I am in talks with an artist to have all of my characters illustrated but art takes time and I want to ensure they are paid accordingly for their work. Art is expensive for a reason and I support artists to charge for their time and their craft.
I will never sell anything that has been created by AI.
